On Friday 20th June, Birmingham City University invited our Y10 students to take part in their 'celebrating Windrush event'. Pupils were able to view an exhibition of letter exchanges, 'barrel children' statements and experiences, listen to stories from guest speakers and take a bag of goodies! The talks were emotive and thought provoking and our pupils asked some insightful questions. This is part of the GCSE History curriculum and enriching opportunity linked to their studies.
